NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 4, from SSR 489 (Beldon Street), to Route 179, in Burlington.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, September 4, 2007 and continue to Friday, September 14, 2007. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday evenings). No work is scheduled for the weekends.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
