NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 15 (northbound), in Hartford.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, July 23, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, August 14, 2007.

This project will take place on a 1-mile section of Route 15 from Airport Road to the south end of the Charter Oak Bridge.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings).  No work will be performed on Saturday or Sunday. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
