NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 123 (New Norwalk Road & Smith Ridge Road) from Route 106 to Country Club Road, in New Canaan.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, October 24, 2007 and continue through Friday, November 12, 2007.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).   

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
