Major Water Shutoff Scheduled At Night
August 9, 2007

Wilton, Connecticut Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that on the night of Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 9:00PM to on or about 3:00AM Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut will be shutting off the water supply to area businesses and residents on Route 7 in Wilton from Crowne Pond to Route 33 to allow work on the water main.  In addition, the shutoff may also affect residents of Perry Green.

Residents and businesses in this area will be notified by Aquarion prior to water service being shut off. The work is weather sensitive and may be rescheduled if weather conditions are not favorable.  For more information, please contact Aquarion Water Company’s customer service at 203-445-7310.

The water shutoff is in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 in Wilton, that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.

Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
