Route 195

Improvements at Walbridge Hill Road

Tolland, CT- The Department of Transportation announced today, weather permitting, work will begin on or around June 25, 2007 on improvements on Route 195 at Walbridge Hill Road in the Town of Tolland.  The scheduled construction completion date is anticipated to be September 14, 2007.  Dufford Construction Company, Inc. of Glastonbury, CT will be performing this work. 

Traffic Notice:

ROUTE 195 & ALL OTHER ROADWAYS        

            The contractor will not be allowed to perform any work that will interfere with one lane of traffic in each direction during the following periods:

***FROM THE DAY AFTER THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT CLOSES AFTER THE SPRING SEMESTER TO THE DAY BEFORE THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT OPENS FOR THE FALL SEMESTER***

·         Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and between 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

·         All day Saturday and Sunday

***FROM THE DAY UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT OPENS FOR THE FALL SEMESTER TO THE DAY THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT CLOSES AFTER THE SPRING SEMESTER ***

·         Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m.  and 8:00 p.m.

·         All day Saturday and Sunday

Construction signs, traffic cones, and Traffic drums will be utilized for traffic control.  

Motorists should use caution through the work zone and reduce their speed accordingly.
