                The Department of Transportation announced today, that  beginning April 10, 2006, Palazzo Construction, Inc., of Rocky Hill will begin the work of realignment of Addison Road at Day Hill Road, in the Town of Windsor.

Construction limits begin and end approximately three hundred feet East and West in each direction on Day Hill Road at the intersection of Day Hill Road and Addison Road and approximately four hundred feet south on Addison Road. 

                The work involves the realignment of Addison Road, grading and drainage improvements, as well as, new traffic signal equipment at the new intersection location. Work will be performed between the hours of 8.30 A.M to 3.30 P.M from Monday through Friday.

                Alternating one way traffic will be utilized to channel traffic around the work zone areas.   Traffic will be maintained on existing Addison road until the new intersection alignment is completed.  Construction signs, traffic cones, traffic drums and  trafficmen  will be used to maintain and protect traffic.  All work is expected to be completed by October, 2006.
