State Police Detectives Arrest New Haven Man following North Haven Rest Area Robbery Investigation

On August 15, 2017 at approximately 4:50 a.m., troopers from Troop I - Bethany responded to the Route 15 northbound rest area in North Haven for a reported robbery.
Connecticut State Police Detectives from Central District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Through the course of the investigation, major crime detectives identified the suspect as Trayvon Foster. As detectives continued to investigate, they learned that the victim/Dunkin Donuts employee knew Foster and was aware that Foster was going to rob the Dunkin Donuts store.
Connecticut State Police Detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Foster by the superior court. An additional arrest warrant is pending for the other person that is involved.
On August 22, 2017, Trayvon Foster (dob 12/19/94) of New Haven, CT., was taken into custody and transported to Troop I where he was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree, Larceny 5th Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. Foster was held on $250,000.00 and scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court.
Troopers Seek Suspect Info in North Haven Rest Area Robbery
On August 15, 2017 at approximately 4:50 a.m., troopers from Troop I - Bethany responded to the Route 15 northbound rest area in North Haven for a reported robbery.
A suspect walked into the North Haven rest area and demanded money from the Dunkin' Donuts employees. The suspect then assaulted an employee causing minor injuries.
The suspect appeared to be a black male in his twenties, and was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and sneakers with red bottoms.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the Dunkin' Donuts and the rest area in an unknown direction.
