State Police Make Arrest in Bristol Police Shooting

The State Police investigation into the shooting of a suspect by a Bristol Police Officer that took place on 11/18/10 has resulted in the arrest of the person who reported being the victim of an active home invasion.  The subject, on November 18, 2010, reported this incident to Bristol Police who responded to the scene.  The subject exited the house and confronted Bristol Officers with a firearm.

The State Police investigation into this shooting determined that the shooting of the suspect by the officer was justified.  In addition, facts and information were developed by State Police Detectives that resulted in an arrest warrant affidavit being filed at Superior Court GA #17  for the arrest of  the accused.

The arrest warrant was issued by the court and today, 02/17/11, the accused was arrested without incident.  The accused was transported to Troop-L Litchfield and was processed.

He is being held on a $750,000 bond and will be arraigned in Superior Court GA #17 on 02/18/11.
