                                       STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY

   Today, 03/03/10, at 3:18 p.m., State Police Troop at D received a bank alarm from the New Alliance Bank located on Rt. 44 and 198 in Eastford, Ct.


   Troopers responded to the bank and upon arrival they secured the scene and interviewed witnesses. Initial investigation determined that a lone male had entered the bank and demanded money form the teller.  No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.

   The robbery scene was secured by the responding troopers. The area  was searched and State Police K-9 teams also responded to conduct a search of the area for the suspect and/or evidence. Additional Troopers also were assigned to search the area and all area police agencies were made aware of this robbery and provided a description of the suspect.

   The suspect - pictured below - is described as a white male, 18-23 years old, 5’6” to 5’7” thin build, brown facial hair, wearing a red and blue plaid flannel shirt, dark brown hat, and brown jacket. The suspect fled the bank on foot.

   State Police Major Crime Detectives responded to the bank to conduct the criminal investigation into this incident investigation into this incident.

   The investigation is continuing.
