** UPDATE **
ESCAPEE SURRENDERS, RETURNS TO JAIL
On Monday, 09/08/08, the escapee DAVID PATTERSON, utilizing the services of his attorney, peacefully surrendered to authorities without incident. The escapee was returned to the custody of the Department of Corrections, where he will be held until 10/03/08 his next appearance in court.

On Friday 09/05/08 shortly after 3:25 p.m, State Police at Troop I in Bethany was notified of an escape from custody at the lock up at Superior Court GA #23 121 Elm St. in New Haven.

On Saturday 09/06/08 State Police and New Haven Police are continuing to search for this escapee. He is believed to still be in the New Haven area.
Inmate Patterson is described as a black male 5' 8" 140 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt.
State Police are asking anyone who sees PATTERSON or knows his whereabouts to call State Police at Troop I (203) 393-4200 or send an anonymous TEXT A TIP by texting any information to 274637 (CRIMES).
