Family Violence Annual Reports

Connecticut General Statute §46b-38d(b) mandates that information related to crimes that include the element of family violence, and where an arrest was made, be reported via form DPS-230-C, compiled, and reported annually. Family violence is defined as an event that results in physical harm, bodily injury or assault, or an act of threatened violence that constitutes fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury, or assault, including, but not limited to, stalking or a pattern of threatening, between family or household members. These rich data are presented in three separate annual reports, the Family Violence Homicide Report, the Family Violence Arrest Report, and the Family Violence Detail Report.
