CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) works to protect ground water that supplies drinking water for residents of the state.
The Potable Water Program assists individuals whose private or public drinking water supply wells may be at risk of becoming contaminated or have become contaminated as a result of human activity. (860-424-3705)
The Aquifer Protection Program protects major public water supply wells in sand and gravel aquifers to ensure a plentiful supply of public drinking water for present and future generations.
