Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. Haddam Meadows State Park, Haddam
Saturday, May 13, 2023 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We'll focus on removing invasives at the first picnic area, closest to the transfer station and around the flowering trees marked with blue ribbons, Also, we'll pick up trash.

Adults and youth under 16 years of age accompanied by an adult, are asked to meet in the first picnic area (closest to the front parking lot). Please dress for the weather. Wear waterproof boots, bring garden loppers or saw, insect repellent, sunscreen, water, and first aid supplies. Refreshments will be served. Do not bring pets. The event is being planned by CT DEEP Adopt a Park Volunteers, Jamie Burgess, Deborah Cooney, Cherry Czuba, Joanne DelCioppo-Mchugh, Richard Gill Mary Lou Heger,and David Stiles.
