Notice of Tentative Determination to Approve Coastal Consistency Review and Water Quality Certification

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (“DEEP”) hereby gives notice that a tentative determination has been reached to approve the following application submitted under Section 401 of the Federal Clean Water Act, as amended, for a Water Quality Certificate and conditionally concur in accordance with Section 307(c)(1) of the Coastal Zone Management Act for the review of the proposed activity for consistency with the enforceable policies of Connecticut’s federally approved Coastal Management Program contained in sections 22a-92 to 22a-112 of the Connecticut General Statutes for work waterward of the coastal jurisdiction line in tidal, coastal or navigable waters of the state.

PROPOSED ACTIVITY

The proposed activity includes maintenance dredging and placement of dredge sediment at the Central Long Island Sound Disposal Site and will affect coastal resources.
