Notice of Intent to Submit a Regional Haze Progress Report for the Second Planning Period (2018-2028) to EPA and Opportunity for Public Comment

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) proposes to submit the progress report linked below to satisfy the regional haze requirements of Clean Air Act (CAA) section 169A and the regional haze rule codified in Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 51 Subpart P (40 CFR 51.300-309). This progress report provides an update for DEEP’s long-term strategy to reduce emissions affecting visibility and visibility progress since the previously submitted regional haze state implementation plan revision for the second planning period.

All interested persons are invited to comment on the progress report. Comments should be submitted via electronic mail to Amanda.Fritz@ct.gov and should be received by 4:30 PM on February 28, 2025.
