- All motor-equipped car-top vessels (vessels with outboards no greater than 12 hp, vehicle-transported, two-person unloadable) must be inspected by the Town of Washington and receive a sticker confirming environmental fitness before launching at this state boat launch. Inspection is conducted by the Lake Waramaug Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination Program (WID Program) at the Washington Town Ramp during posted operating hours and the decontamination unit is located at the New Preston Fire Station located at 185 New Milford Turnpike, New Preston. Boaters should contact the WID Program at 860-868-6427 to confirm hours and to arrange pre-dawn or non-standard launches. Decontamination appointments are available for boaters who want to minimize waiting by sending an email to LakeWaramaugWIDProgram@gmail.com.
- Seaplanes prohibited.
- From May 15th through September 15th, inclusive, Slow-No-Wake in the cove adjacent to the State Park in northernmost 1,300 feet of the cove.
- A total of only 20 non-residents are allowed on the water through the town and state park launches.
- The use of wake enhancing devices is prohibited.
