The Connecticut Building at the Big E

Things to Know

Only authentically Connecticut-Made merchandise and products may be sold.  Note:  Connecticut-Made is defined as being produced, grown, crafted or manufactured in Connecticut.

Only items approved by DECD are allowed for sale.  Approved items will be itemized in the executed Exhibitor's Agreement (contract).

Exhibitors are required to enhance the assigned space to reflect their business/organization in a professional, positive and engaging manner.

Efforts are made to accommodate requested square footage and booth location, but there is no guarantee.

On-site changes to booth size and location may occur due to last minute changes and/or discrepancies in building layout.

Efforts are made to accommodate preferred dates, but there is no guarantee.

DECD strives to avoid competition amongst exhibitors, but there is no assurance of exclusivity for any exhibitor as to product and/or service offerings. No past exhibitor is guaranteed selection or exclusivity of product/services each year.ing “competing” application will be selected?)

Food exhibitors are required to pass inspection and obtain a Permit to Operate a Temporary Food Establishment on the Eastern States Exposition Grounds.

If an approved exhibitor does not fulfill the requirements outlined in the Exhibitor’s Agreement (contract), they will be subject to removal with no refund.

The Connecticut Building is open to the fair-going public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Exhibition space must be staffed by at least one person at all times. Habitual closing of an exhibit booth early will result in removal, without refund, and the exhibitor will be ineligible to apply again.

Of extreme importance are the people working in the booth for they are viewed as representatives of Connecticut.  We strongly encourage exhibitors and their staff to have uniform attire representative of the company/products/organization during all shifts throughout the fair (e.g. business t-shirt/polo/hat with logo)
