Program Overview
CT SMARTE connects Connecticut’s SMMs to the next generation of engineering and manufacturing. Our technology partners offer access to transformative programs to advance manufacturing efficiency and performance and lower energy usage and technology-related emissions.
Through a series of technical assistance, workshops and training, SMMs can partner on high-performance computing-based modeling and simulation projects, receive free energy audits with tailored recommendations and learn how to how to implement advanced technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
This is a free pilot program for Connecticut’s SMMs. CT SMARTE can help:
- Decrease energy usage and reduce technology emissions
- Access HPC-based modeling and simulation and digital twinning and machine learning infrastructures
- Train their workforce to incorporate rapidly advancing technology into product development and process optimization
- Access federal and state funding opportunities and manufacturer discounts to assist with technology adoption and implementation
All SMMs are welcome to apply. Priority selection for SMMs supporting energy, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries.
There is no cost for SMMs to participate in this program. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) and supported by matching funds from the Connecticut Department of Economic Community Development (DECD). The program will identify federal and state funds available to implement recommended solutions.
