General Operating Support for Theaters and Performing Groups

Use of Grant Funds

 

The following refers to the FY23 round of funding:

Funding period:  July 1, 2022 - December 31, 2023

Funds can be used retroactively back to July 1, 2022.

Funds may also be used for costs to be incurred.

The funds being distributed in accordance with this application must be expended before December 31, 2023.

Funds cannot be used for expenses already paid for by other funding sources. 

Use of funds includes but is not limited to:

  • General operating support that will allow an organization to:
    • pursue their mission
    • maintain their ability to serve their community and the public
    • grow their ability to serve their community and the public
  • Implementation of COVID-19 prevention or mitigation tactics, such as:
    • physical plan changes
    • signage to enable social distancing
    • enhanced cleaning efforts
    • barriers or partitions
    • COVID-19 vaccination, tests, or contact tracing systems
    • improvements to ventilation
    • provision of masks or other personal protective equipment
    • consultation with infection prevention professionals to develop safe reopening plans
  • Offset lingering financial hardship due to decline in revenue or impacts of periods of business closure including but not limited to:
    • support payroll and benefit costs
    • costs to retain/re-hire employees
    • mortgage, rent or utilities costs
    • other operating costs
