The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Division of Human Resources provides a full range of employment related services for individuals currently employed by, or those seeking employment, with DDS.  Such services include recruitment, screening, selection, compensation, evaluation, training and career development.  The division also coordinates general human resource management activities including workforce planning, workplace safety and organizational development.

In all these activities, the division works closely with other state agencies, in particular, the Department of Administrative Services, Office of the State Comptroller, Office of Labor Relations, Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Department of Labor, Workers Compensation Commission and Bureau of Enterprise Systems and Technology in order to ensure consistent and appropriate application of relevant rules and regulations.

Overall management of DDS human resource activity is the responsibility of the Agency Human Resources Administrator and his staff, located at the DDS Central Office, 460 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut.  The DDS Central Office and the DDS North, South and West Regions have locally assigned human resource staff dedicated to managing the human resource operations of their respective locations.  Names and contact options for key staff can be found in the Contacts section of this DDS Human Resources website.
