

HARTFORD — The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food and Standards Division (DCP) is warning the public that Sanctuary Kitchen of New Haven initiated a voluntary recall of its hummus due to unlabeled FD&C Yellow #5 and FD&C Yellow #6, which can cause allergic or adverse reactions for people who have severe sensitivity to the additives.
The affected product is:

"Sanctuary Kitchen Hummus, Syrian Chickpea & Sesame Dip”
The recalled product is packaged in clear plastic containers with the Sanctuary Kitchen logo and sold prior to May 12, 2025.
The hummus was distributed to Thyme & Season of Hamden and at CitySeed Farmers Markets.
No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported in connection with this incident.
Consumers who have allergies or sensitives to additives can return the affected product to the place of purchase for full refund.
