


HARTFORD — The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food and Standards Division (DCP) is warning the public that D’Addona Brother’s Bakery of Wolcott, CT, is recalling its 12-ounce bags of “Slider Rolls” and 20-ounce bags of “Round Artisan Bread” because they contain undeclared wheat. People who have allergies to wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled “Slider Rolls” and “Round Artisan Loaf” were distributed to the following stores in Connecticut:
- Stop and Shop: 945 Wolcott St. Waterbury CT 06704
- Stop and Shop: 240 Chase Ave, Waterbury CT 06704
- Stop and Shop: 410 Reidville Dr, Waterbury CT 06705
- Labonne’s Market: 238 Main St S. Woodbury CT
- ShopRite; 775 Min St S. Southbury CT, 06488
- Stop and Shop: 100 Main St N Southbury Ct 06488
- ShopRite: 1 Padanaram Rd Danbury 06811
- ShopRite: 143 Federal Rd Brookfield 06804
The “Slider Rolls” are packaged in a 12-ounce clear plastic package bag and Marked with UPC 8 57131 00409 0.
The “Round Artisan Bread” are packaged in a 20-ounce clear plastic bag and marked with UPC 8 57131 00408 3.
No Illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the packaging did not declare the presence of “wheat” in the “enriched flour” on the ingredient statement.
Consumers who have purchased 12-ounce packages of the “Slider Rolls” and 20- ounce packages of the “Round Artisan Bread” are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1(203) 558-1314.
