HARTFORD – The Department of Consumer Protection announced today the launch of a monthly newsletter focused on consumer protection issues in Connecticut.
“Our mission at the Department of Consumer Protection is to arm the public with the tools and knowledge they need to protect themselves and their families, access state programs through DCP and our sister agencies, and provide businesses and community organizations with the information they need for success,” said DCP Commissioner Bryan T. Cafferelli. “The new DCP Newsletter is just one more way we’re making it easier for Connecticut residents to get the information they need. This newsletter is available in five languages, as an e-edition delivered straight to your email inbox, and a printable version that is distributed through our many partners, including the legislature and community organizations across the state. We encourage everyone to sign up for the e-edition today, as well as to distribute printed copies in their communities.”
The newsletter, which will be distributed during the first week of each month and is available in five languages, will be circulated through the Connecticut General Assembly, community organizations and directly to consumers by the Department of Consumer Protection.
DCP issued a soft launch of the newsletter in August. Archives are available at portal.ct.gov/DCPNewsletters.
Members of the public who would like to sign up for the new email newsletter can do so at portal.ct.gov/DCPnewsandalerts.
Questions, comments, requests for additional languages, and suggestions for future topics can be submitted by emailing DCP.Communications@ct.gov.
