Temporary Permits

Temporary permits are only valid for a few days at a time, cannot be renewed, and are used for specific alcohol sale and service needs. We have temporary permits for three types of events: non-profit fundraising, festivals, and professional auctions. We do not have general temporary permits for:

  • Private parties: If you are hosting a private party and are providing alcohol to your guests for free, you do not need a permit.
  • For-profit events: If you are a business and want to sell alcohol at an event, you cannot apply for these permits. You need to hire a licensed caterer.

Non-Profit Fundraising

Allows noncommercial entities to sell beer, cider, wine, and spirits at fundraising events or social gatherings

Festival Permit

Allows the permit holder called the “sponsor” or “backer” to organize events such as a beer or wine festival.

Professional Auctions

Allows the sale of beer, spirits and wine through an auction conducted by a professional auctioneer.
