All continuing education (CE) hours must be completed Between November 1 and October 31 every two years. Note: This CE completion deadline is 3 months before the renewal deadline. CE is not required to be completed before the first renewal.
- CE is due by October 31 of every even-numbered year
- It will be reported with the following odd-year license renewal (e.g., 2025, 2027, 2029)
Proof of Completion
All credential holders must attest to the completion of their required continuing education (CE) as part of the renewal process. Certificates of completion and other related records should be retained by the credential holder for at least four (4) years in case of audit by the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP).
Courses must be offered by the Community Associations Institute

Courses are available through the CT Chapter of the Community Associations Institute or Community Associations Institute
In lieu of continuing education courses previously approved by the Connecticut Real Estate Commission, other courses taken by a registrant may be considered by the Connecticut Real Estate Commission for continuing education credit on an individual basis. Requests for such other courses to be considered by the commission shall be submitted in writing to the Department of Consumer Protection not less than ninety (90) days prior to the end of the two (2) year continuing education period, and shall include a summary description of the course, a detailed course outline including the content areas of instruction, course duration, the name of the institution that offered the course and the applicant’s proof of completion.

Failure to Complete
Failure to complete the required continuing education requirements may subject the licensee to civil fines and the revocation or suspension of their license.
Waivers/Exemptions
For reason of health, military service, or other individual hardship, the Connecticut Real Estate Commission may, in its discretion, exempt a community association manager from continuing education requirements if the community association manager otherwise meets all renewal requirements. The request must be made at least 90 days before renewal.
