Internet Fraud, and Resources to Help You Stay Safe Online

Many scammers that traditionally use phone and mail are now using the internet, and your email to access your information. The most common consumer scams involve obtaining credit card information and getting consumers to send money by wire transfer, or obtaining personal information from consumers to steal their identity.

Scammers often use "click bait", or ads that appeal to you on social media, and send you threatening emails or texts with the hope that you reply with personal information, or click on a link that will allow them to access your personal information.
