Far below normal precipitation has caused a drought and increased fire danger levels. All of Connecticut is currently in a Stage 2 Drought Advisory. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of water consumption and use extra caution to prevent fires. An emergency burn ban remains in effect at all state parks, forests, and wildlife management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, campfires, etc.

SPOTLIGHT ON WHAT'S RIGHT!

The DCF Spotlight on What's Right is a monthly newsletter highlighting positive stories about our wonderful staff, families, and programs. It includes an opening message by Commissioner Jodi Hill-Lilly providing information on the themes of the month, important events Agency personnel have attended, acknowledging staff honored for their work and other key announcements. The publication then features a youth and family who tell their story about resilience, strength and the support received from DCF. Each month we also like to include a personal story about an employee who brings a unique perspective to our critical work. We hope you enjoy our "Spotlight".
