  The Department of Administrative Services Learning & Development Team fosters the continuous growth and development of in-scope Executive Branch employees.

• Learning Management System (LMS)

  A learning management system (LMS) is software for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery courses or training programs.

  The State of Connecticut utilizes an approved managed care program for the delivery of medical services for injured State employees.

  A database of class specifications used in the State of Connecticut’s Executive Branch. These are not job openings.

• Mainframe Platforms

  Mainframe computing services consist of the hosting and maintenance of customer applications on mainframe servers at the Groton, Connecticut (GDC) or Springfield, Massachusetts (SDC), secure data processing centers.

• Metropolitan Area Network

  The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group builds and supports the State of Connecticut Metropolitan Area Network which connects 18 large sites in the greater Hartford area with metro Ethernet connections between 1G and 20G speeds. This connectivity serves 35 state agencies with access to the State’s Data Centers located in geographically diverse areas of the state.

• Multi-factor Authentication

  Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a method of computer access control in which a user is granted access only after successfully presenting several separate pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism.

• Network Management and Support

  The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) supports numerous network infrastructures. The ENS support methodology consists of configuring network infrastructure devices with management protocols and through the use of centralized servers collect alerts, alarms, events and traps that report the network status.

• Networking Services (DNS, DHCP)

  The Enterprise Network Services (ENS) group supports the provisioning of key networking services including Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) for customers on both the state’s intranet and in the external facing application domains.

• P-Card Information - A Purchasing Card Program Overview

  The P-Card Program is co-sponsored by DAS Procurement and OSC Accounts Payable providing a commercial credit card participating state agencies and client entities for the payment of goods and services.

  In general, all state-owned and rental vehicles must be parked overnight at state-owned or leased facilities.

• Public Auctions for State Surplus Vehicles

  The Department of Administrative Services, Surplus Property Program is the legally authorized agent in the State for the disposition of all usable property that a state agency deems surplus to its operating needs, including vehicles.

• Public Safety Data Network

  The Public Safety Data Network (PSDN) is an ultra-high-speed fiber optic data network that serves as a dedicated transport infrastructure and interconnectivity pathway for public safety and government applications and services throughout the state.
