COUNCIL RETREAT

The 2017 CT Council on Developmental Disabilities retreat was held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Temple Beth El in West Hartford, CT.

1. Call to Order:  Shelagh McClure, Chair, began the retreat at 10:00 AM. 

              

2. Freedom of Information Act Presentation:  Thomas A. Hennick, the Public Education Officer from the Freedom of Information Commission of the State of Connecticut reviewed highlights of the Act pertaining to the Council.

              

3. Self-Direction and Self-Determination Panel Presentation:  Chris Blake, Vice Chair; Nick Glomb, Walter Glomb, Cathy Ludlum, and Pat Tyler participated in a panel discussion on Self-Direction and Self-Determination.

              

4. Adjournment of Meeting:  The retreat adjourned at 3:00 PM. The next Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in West Hartford. It will be the rescheduled Public Forum.
