Welcome to the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities (CTCDD) website!

As Chair of the Council, I am honored to lead our dedicated team in supporting programs that benefit individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. I have been a member of the Council since 2020, and my commitment to our mission is deeply personal. As a sibling of an individual with a developmental disability, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with such a journey. My younger brother is diagnosed with Autism, and I have seen the incredible benefits of Council-funded programs and the outstanding work our community partners are accomplishing.

Our mission is to promote self-determination, independence, productivity, integration, and inclusion in all facets of community life for people with developmental disabilities. The Council’s efforts are driven by our five-year state plan, which outlines our goals and objectives aimed at creating systemic change, building capacity, and supporting advocacy. We collaborate with a wide range of partners, including individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, service providers, and policymakers, to ensure that the voices of our community are heard and their needs are met.

On this website, you will find information about grants initiative, the five-year plan, upcoming meetings/events, and opportunities for involvement. I encourage you to explore our resources, stay informed about our work, and join us in our efforts.

Thank you for your interest in the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Sincerely,

Andy Cirioli
