Shared Work
The Shared Work Program for the Partially Unemployed Has Been Extended
100% of the federal funding for the Shared Work Program has been extended. The program helps employers avoid laying off employees by allowing them to use partial unemployment benefits to make up for reduction in hours. The Shared Work Program helps employers cut down on costs during economic downturns. This way, employees are still attached to jobs and their benefits even though they’re working reduced hours.
