New Action Reason Codes

Two new Action Reasons have been established. These codes are to be used when an employee has been deemed MMI (Maximum Medical Improvement) with permanent restrictions related to an approved WC claim, eligible for State FMLA and the options process is being pursued.

PLA/WCS – State FMLA WC MMI with Pay

Used when an employee has been deemed MMI with permanent restrictions related to an approved WC claim. This code is used when the employee is eligible for State FMLA leave and using accruals while the options process is pursued.

LOA/WCS – State FMLA WC MMI without Pay

Used when an employee has been deemed MMI with permanent restrictions related to an approved WC claim. This code is used when the employee is eligible for State FMLA leave and unpaid while the options process is pursued.

The Action Reason Codes job aid has been updated to include the new codes.
