Changes to Chartfield Coding Request Process – Effective July 8, 2025

7/02/2025
As of July 8, 2025, the chart of accounts process will transition toward greater automation. Moving forward, all structure requests must be submitted as one request per template.

While many agencies already submit one structure request per template and will experience no change, any agency that submits a structure request with multiple Chartfield values attached in an excel spreadsheet will have that request denied. These requests require manual entry by the Chart of Accounts Team and will no longer be accepted.

To comply with the updated process, agencies must submit each additional Chartfield request individually. Please note that the payroll combination process will remain unchanged.

Please refer to the Job Aid: Structure Requests: Adding New or Updating Existing Chartfields
