The purpose of the Access Fair is to present the findings and recommendations of the statewide Equity Study—which examined programs and policies across 23 state agencies to identify inequalities in the outcomes for underserved communities, and made recommendations for improvements.

One of the most important lessons from the Equity Study is that, even when state agencies make their best efforts, they often struggle to make connections with the populations in our state that can need the most help of government programs.

The CHRO is hosting the Access Fair to expand access to state services. Many state agencies and non-profit organizations will be in attendance at the Access Fair and will set up booths so that the public has an opportunity to connect directly with them to explore and utilize the services they offer. The Access Fair will also host a series of panels regarding state services, trainings, and more.

To facilitate participation by underserved communities, the CHRO will be providing free bus transportation to and from the event in various cities around the state and will be providing free lunch to attendees. Register now by clicking below!
