Roundtable on Volunteer Recruitment and Retention

The Connecticut Commission on Fire Prevention and Control in cooperation with the Avon Volunteer Fire Department will host a Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Quarterly Roundtable session.

7PM (1900) on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Avon F.D.

Headquarters, Darling Drive in Avon

This is your opportunity to not only learn from others but also share your own experiences with regard to volunteer recruitment and retention.  Representatives from national organizations are expected to present quick updates with regard to new initiatives. Significant attention is expected to be paid to the special challenges faced by combination departments.  1-800-FIRELINE materials, including road signs will also be available.

This meeting is open to all, and is free of charge.  Although walk-ins are always welcome, If possible, please RSVP to Rob Lucheme, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, 1-877-5CTFIRE, x 236 so we can get a "coffee and doughnut" count! Also, if you or your department would like to make a special presentation, such as a promotional video, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan ahead.
