Hartford Fire Department to Host Preview of IFSTA

Essentials of Fire Fighting, 6th Edition

On Monday, January 28, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control and Hartford Fire Department will host, at the Hartford Fire Department Training Academy, representatives from the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) who will deliver a presentation on the new Essentials of Fire Fighting, 6th Edition.  This presentation will include an in-depth look at updates and changes to the manual, key features and components of the instructor curriculum package, and an introduction to IFSTA's electronic resources which include an eBook, study apps, an electronic Exam Prep, and the ResourceOne online learning management system.  IFSTA representatives will also be available to answer questions and provide a first look at the Essentials suite of products.
