Following a meeting with local officials and fire chiefs at the Connecticut Fire Academy, Gov. Rell exits one of the new Prime Mover tow vehicles that will be provided to each town that hosts one of the state’s 34 Mass Decontamination Vehicles strategically located throughout the state. The $138,000 vehicles have seating for up to five firefighters, space for personal protective and other support equipment. The Mass Decontamination Trailers are also equipped with a radio repeater for interoperability communications. The Prime Movers are being paid for with a federal homeland security grant.
