Virtual Reality in Connecticut Schools
Virtual Reality (VR) technologies offer an innovative and immersive approach to education. While VR holds promise, there are hurdles to its widespread adoption, including the high costs associated with VR equipment, lack of teacher training and support, and challenges in curriculum integration. The study explores the current use of VR within Connecticut public high schools along with teachers' and students' perceptions and attitudes about VR. The study also aims to identify barriers and facilitators associated with successful implementation of the technology within classroom settings. A comprehensive survey will target all 166 public high schools in Connecticut. In-depth interviews will then take place with select schools that employ VR, capturing the insights and experiences of both educators and students. By employing a mix of quantitative and qualitative research techniques, the study aspires to offer a comprehensive perspective on the use of VR within Connecticut public high schools.
