Can my provider approve more than 5 ounces for my monthly allotment

Yes. The Department can issue exceptions to the limit of 5 ounces for the monthly allotment for qualifying patients with approval from the certifying physician, physician assistant or advanced practice nurse. Patients whose monthly allotments are more than 5 ounces are typically limited to using one dispensary facility or hybrid retailer for their medication.
