DRAFT MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING

Monday, August 1, 2011

9:30 a.m.

    A special meeting of the Governmental Accountability Commission was held Monday, August 1, 2011, in the State Elections Enforcement Commission conference room, 18-20 Trinity Street, Hartford, Connecticut. The meeting was called to order by the Chair, Carol Carson at 9:34 A.M.  The following Commission members were present: Stephen F. Cashman, Colleen Murphy, Jeanne Milstein, Michelle Cruz, Wayne R. Keeney, Karen Netherton, Joseph Corradino.

1.      Approval of the Minutes of the July 29, 2011 Meeting

It was moved by Commissioner Cashman and seconded by Commissioner Corradino to approve the minutes of the July 29, 2011 meeting. So voted.

2.      Interviews of candidates for the Position of Executive Administrator of the Office of Governmental Accountability.

The following candidates interviewed with the Governmental Accountability Commission: 

  9:35 a.m. David L. Guay

10:37 a.m. Nancy L. Hadley

3.      Selection of not fewer than three candidates to submit to Governor Dannel P. Malloy

It was moved by Commissioner Cashman and seconded by Commissioner Keeney at 11:30 a.m. to proceed into Executive Session pursuant to C.G.S. §1-200(6)(B) and (E) and §1-210 (b)(3)(4) and (10) to discuss the selection of candidates to submit to Governor Dannel P. Malloy with respect to the position of Executive Administrator of the Office of Governmental Accountability, listed as item 3 of the agenda.  So voted.  Chairman Carson, and Commissioners Murphy, Milstein, Cruz, Netherton and Corradino were present. 

It was moved by Commissioner Cashman and seconded by Commissioner Corradino at 12:20 p.m. to return to public session.  So voted.

Returning to public session, the Commission took the following action:

The Commission selection of three candidates to submit to Governor Dannel P. Malloy for August 1, 2011 as follows:

1.      David L. Guay

2.      Mitchell W. Pearlman

3.      Nancy L. Hadley

Adjournment

It was moved by Commissioner Milstein and seconded by Commissioner Netherton to adjourn the meeting at 12:23 p.m. So voted. Unless otherwise indicated, all votes of the Commission were unanimous.
