A. Call to Order
Chairman Corradino called the meeting to order at 2:00pm and called the roll call of appellants and Board Members.
8 appellants were present.
Board Members Present: Mr. Arthur Carr, Chairman Joseph T. Corradino, Esq., Chief T. William Knapp (Ret.), Peter Kuck and Mr. Kenneth V. Tramadeo.
Board Members Absent: Colonel Kyle E. Overturf
Chairman Corradino read the Introductory Statement and Administered the Oath to all witnesses.
B. Cases scheduled for hearings:
1) Case No. 11-49-D, involving the denial of a temporary pistol permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The appellant appeared on his own behalf. Sgt. Kim Nikola represented the local issuing authority Chief Joseph Gaudett, Bridgeport Police Department.
Motion: Corradino made a motion that the appellant is barred by a felony conviction in
2) Case No. 11-50-D, William Nathan, involving the denial of a temporary pistol permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The appellant appeared on his own behalf. Sgt. Kim Nikola represented the local issuing authority Chief Joseph Gaudett, Bridgeport Police Department.
Decision: By a unanimous decision, the Board members voted to overturn the decision of the local Issuing Authority, Chief Joseph Gaudett, Bridgeport Police Department and voted for the appellant, Mr. Nathan, to be issued a temporary pistol permit.
3) Case No. 11-14-D, James Watrous, Jr., involving the denial of a temporary pistol permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The appellant appeared on his own behalf. Deputy Chief Jeffrey Hutchinson represented the local issuing authority, Chief Thomas Terribile, Guilford Police Department.
Decision: By a majority, the Board members voted to uphold the decision of the local Issuing Authority, Chief Thomas Terribile, Guilford Police Department, the denial of a temporary pistol permit. Carr and Kuck voted for the appellant, Mr. Watrous. Corradino, Knapp and Tramadeo voted for the local Issuing Authority at this time.

5) Case No. 11-12-D, Dave Hilker, involving the denial of a temporary pistol permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The appellant appeared on his own behalf. Sgt. Peter Parks represented the local Issuing Authority Chief Keith Mello, Milford Police Department.
Decision: By a unanimous decision, the Board members voted to overturn the decision of the local Issuing Authority Chief Keith Mello, Milford Police Department due to failure to produce sufficient evidence and the Board voted for Mr. Hilker to be issued a temporary pistol permit.
6) Case No.11-17-D, Brandon Chartier, involving the denial of a temporary pistol permit to carry pistols and revolvers. The appellant appeared on his own behalf. Det. Kevin Ward represented the local issuing authority, Acting Chief Eric Osanitsch, Bristol Police Department

C. Secretary’s Report:
1) Tramadeo made a motion to approve the May 12, 2011 Minutes as written. Kuck seconded the motion, motion carried. Carr abstained.
2) Knapp made a motion to close the 7 dormant cases based on the failure of the appellants to pursue the appeal. Tramadeo seconded the motion, motion carried.
