An emergency burn ban remains in effect at all state parks, forests, and wildlife management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, campfires, etc.

Attorney General To Fight Connecticut Water Company Rate Increase Request

"My office will fight this rate increase, seeking deep reductions. I will ask the DPUC to slash unnecessary charges, including the company's huge proposed return on investment -- more than 11 percent. Such a request is unconscionable while consumers struggle with unemployment, stalled wages and economic uncertainty. Any increase must directly benefit ratepayers, not provide prodigious profits to shareholders."
