Attorney General Praises Foxwoods-Dealers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement

January 26, 2010

"I applaud the collective bargaining agreement announced today between Foxwoods and the dealers union, hopefully highlighting a new era of cooperation, mutual respect and prosperity.

"My office strongly supported the United Auto Workers at the National Labor Relations Board to help secure Foxwoods employees' right to vote on and form a bargaining unit.

"Foxwoods deserves credit for doing the right thing, recognizing the union approved by a majority of its dealers and negotiating a contract in good faith. Dealers should be assured fair play, proper pay and working conditions for profits they are vital to creating.

"I am hopeful that today's agreement reflects a cooperative relationship and fruitful partnership between organized labor and Foxwoods."
