Attorney General Says Investigation Of Old Saybrook Police Chief Done, Resolution Expected Next Week

May 1, 2009

"My investigation into Chief Mosca's administration of the McMurray-Kirtland Fund has concluded. We are in the final stages of negotiating with Chief Mosca a resolution of this matter, and I expect to announce specifics of that resolution next week.

"Chief Mosca's retirement is no surprise in light of my investigation's conclusion and the terms of the resolution. His decision to step aside will help the Old Saybrook Police Department wipe the slate clean, enabling a fresh start and renewed focus on the future."
