Sandy Hook Relief Survey
In a joint effort to promote transparency and consistent with their responsibilities to oversee charitable activities and fundraising, Attorney General George Jepsen and Consumer Protection Commissioner William M. Rubenstein have asked charities to voluntarily provide information relating to fundraising activities in the wake of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Charities were asked to respond to a set of questions regarding the amount of funds raised, their intended use, and the status of their distribution. The Attorney General and Commissioner will stay in contact with these organizations and continue to request additional information about disbursements and steps taken to assure proper and appropriate use.
