What is the Connecticut Tech Act?

Connecticut Tech Act Project (CTTAP) helps people of all ages with disabilities get access to assistive technology for work, school, and everyday life. It also supports families, employers, and professionals with resources and services. 

The goal of CTTAP is to increase independence and improve the quality of life for those with disabilities by making assistive tools accessible.

What is the CTTAP AT Advisory Council?

 

The CTTAP AT Advisory Council is required by the 21st Century AT Act, section 4(2)(A)-(D). The Council is comprised of individuals with disabilities who use assistive technology (AT), family members or guardians of individuals who use AT, and representatives of agencies or individuals concerned with advancing the use of AT in Connecticut. The Advisory Council provides input and perspectives regarding the implementation of the 21st Century AT Act federal grant and resulting activities provided by the Connecticut Tech Act Project (CTTAP). We are required to have a 51% majority (or more) to be individuals with disabilities who are AT users (or family members of).
