If you want to limit the amount of information your smartphone provides about you, there are a few easy steps you can take.

In your settings, you can turn off location services. For any applications you might have downloaded, you can also turn off their access to your location.

If you want to limit the information your cell phone service provider receives about you, check out its privacy policy to find out the way to opt out of sharing information with third parties.
