If the employer lawfully uses your credit history to make a negative employment decision against you, a federal law requires that the employer inform you of the company that provided the credit history. You can contact that company if you think any of the information is wrong. Correcting the information may not help you will the original job. However, it will help to have this information correct when you apply for future jobs.
If your credit history is in bad shape, work on improving it. |
