Tuesday, November 1st is the Last Day to Register to Vote in Advance of the Election

Secretary of the State Kohler Urges All Eligible Connecticut Residents to Register to Vote

HARTFORD, CT) – Tuesday, November 1, is the last day eligible Connecticut residents can register to vote before Election Day, November, 8. Those who wish to register can do so at myvote.ct.gov/register, in person at their registrars of voters’ office in their town hall between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., or by mail, if the registration is postmarked by November 1. Connecticut residents can always check their registration status and look up their polling place at myvote.ct.gov/lookup.

Connecticut does have Election Day Registration at a designated location in each town. Locations can be found at myvote.gov/EDR. Still, Secretary of the State Mark Kohler is encouraging Connecticut voters to register in advance to avoid any lines that may form on Election Day.

“Connecticut has more than two million registered voters, and we can add to that total in the coming days,” Secretary of the State Mark Kohler said. “Tuesday, November 1 is the last day to register before Election Day. For those who haven’t registered, you can do so conveniently at myvote.ct.gov/register. Your vote is your voice, so register and vote!”
