Suspension and Expulsion Reduction Initiative Grant (SERI)

Purpose: To establish three demonstration projects, in three Connecticut public school districts, to implement an eclectic model of strategies and services aimed at promoting a positive school climate for educators and students to decrease the incidence of disciplinary referrals for students with disabilities, and those at risk for school failure and referral for special education evaluation.
